Pinfeathers Galore
Canada
Приєднався 4 лют 2023
Hello, welcome to my channel. I'm very happy to have you here.
Originally this was just my private collection of videos I videoed for my own viewing pleasure. Seeing people enjoy this as much as I do, makes me even happier! Thank you.
In my videos, I take the sheaths off of "ripe" Pinfeathers, releasing the feather underneath.
I used to do this with my fingers but due to me needing to keep my fingernails short, it didn't feel good enough for my birds. So I switched to tweezers. So welcome to the *very first ever* UA-cam channel where we desheath Pinfeathers with tweezers!
I've been doing this for a very long time - about 30 years now. If you want to do this, I'd recommend introducing tweezers to your birds slowly and at their pace of comfort. Make sure they're blunt and rounded to prevent any injuries. Stay calm and focused, and hope both you and your precious bird can enjoy it.

The Decimation of Byron's Head Pinnies!
Byron's pinfeathers have been sitting on top of his head for weeks now. His partner Ava refuses to take them off, so I gently cupped him in my hand and rolled them all off.
Also, I'm so sorry about my ugly nails. I don't wear nail polish except at special events (once every 1-2 years) and I just let it chip away by itself.

Today we have a sensitive Byron! He loves finger head scratches, but filming with one hand and trying to get those pinnies with the others is hard. Especially since he prefers that I use both hands at the same time. Usually I do get them pins -one thumb strokes his head and the other gently scratches under his chin and cheeks...but I can't keep doing that because there'd be no videos (hence why...

Cincin head scratch with my finger

Hope everyone's doing well! Here is a quick scratch with His Majesty Cincin.
Cincin with lots of pinfeathers!

Cincin has a head full of feathers because I've been sick for about a month now! Feeling better but while I was sick I was careful not to break any of his pins. I've been waiting patiently until I had a bit of time to harvest this garden. Unfortunately he was grumpy today and just wanted me to do his cheeks!
Pinfeathers (no bird)

Here are 2 feathers I've found on 2 different occasions. The blue tail feather was mostly likely pulled out from a fight, while Cincin's stub pinfeather looks like it either dropped off itself, or he pulled it out. I just "inbox" these up to see what's inside :) ignore my stuffy voice...I've been ill the last month!
Happy New Year! (With Athena)

Apologies, this video only has 2 pinfeathers and a whole lot of me gushing over how cute Athena is. I've been pretty sick for the last 2 weeks so not much has been happening. also - sneak peek of Jasper!

Pinfeather sheaths from Byron (no bird)
Just pull the fucking feather oh my god... My anxiety right now↗️
What are those😮
New feather unboxing
Aren't those signs of infections when they harden like that
@@ssam1820 oh no not at all! You want them to harden and dry up. It's the way new feathers grow. As they're growing, they're full of blood vessels that feed the feather, encapsulated by a thick, flexible keratin sheath. Once it's fully formed, everything dries up and the sheath flakes off, exposing a fluffy new feather :)
He said “🧿”
bath time?
@@papabad5613 they take baths and spray most showers every 2-3 days during the summer :)
Oh when it's pupil went really small then big again 😳
Please don't rub the blood feathers, I can feel the pain your birds must feel when you forcefully rub or pull their pinnies. I support your channel but you must be gentle.
@@Torz_ thank you!! I'll definitely keep that in mind, and be as gentle as I should be❤️
Just why ? 🙄
Does it itch when it's stays in that wax like stuff?
@@dyan0202 I think it doesn't, but the weight of it can bother the birds!!
Watching this got me like hurry up and get it I’m anxious just watching
Dumb question but how do I get experienced with this if I shouldn't try it without experience?
こっちまでスッとするのでずっと見ていられる。
@@user-dm3so2ur6c :D❤️
Just a question, why didn't use a toothbrush? Cause pinching it looks hard. It's a genuine curiosity 😂
I have a parakeet and I notlced that there are same thlngs in my pet just like parakeet in the video but unfortunately I can not remove them by alone. Because it is so active and doesn't allowe to being touched to itself. I wonder that these things that take part on it, if they will disappear in time or not without any external intervention.
@@serdarmutlu8716 the sheaths will crumble and disappear by themselves! No problem :) but the birds do enjoy head scratches.
@@pinfeathersgalore thanks a lot for your feedback.
My bird is always scared of his own shadow 😂 idk how yours doesn't get scared?
This is way more satisfying than pimple popping!
@@janettebecerra2788 thank you so much!❤️ I think so too! No gross juices, hehe!
heheh. birb
@@POTC_Oscarandfriens2.0 hehe :D

Just Fucking Pull
No.
ピンセットの先が目に刺さりそうで怖い せめて、尖っていないものを使うべきかと…
Dam pull em out for Pete’s sake!!
Oh he’s loving that instant inch relief 😂
I'm just imagining this being a teenage bird and having bad face acne.

Нафига?
Get a pair of bent forceps..
よく見たら外筒だけを抜いているのですね。手が震えるしムズムズするし抜けなかったら痛くて嫌がられるし、😢とても難しい作業ですよね😅でもスッと抜けたときの気持ち良さは味わってみたいです😌
Id be afraid to use sharp tools like that next to the animal
I was today years old when i found out burd eyes can change pupil size Cats and humans yes but that took mw by surprise lol Beautiful
@@_Silent_Moon_ birds are very photoreceptor! Did you also know raptors have a nictating membrane too (a third eyelid)?
@@pinfeathersgalore theyre so cute i love them xD birds are one of mt favorite animals UA-cam keeps recommending me a lot of birb content today lol
@@_Silent_Moon_ hehehe it does for me toooooo birbies are adorable!!

You must be cearfull not to hit the 👀 eyes.
Who’s ever using the tweezers is frustrating me like hell
The amount of trust your bird has for you the tweezers! Mine would have been in attack mode the second he saw them
@@deathmetalparrot172 thank you! Haha but you'd be amazed at how many times my birds have dilated their eyes and bit the tweezers at first 😂 now they know though, and they bow their heads.
They can do that on their own
Just put the damn camera down and take that properly.
Good little bird❤
عمل رائع جدا
